Cryogenic liquid pumps are special pumps used to transport cryogenic liquids (such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid hydrocarbons, and liquefied natural gas, etc.). in oil, air separation, and chemical plants. In air separation, it is mainly used to transport liquid products, such as liquid oxygen pumps, liquid nitrogen pumps, and liquid argon pumps.
Cryogenic liquid pumps often experience cavitation during use. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the vaporization of the internal gas can be prevented. To prevent the vaporization of cryogenic liquid pumps, the following methods can be used:
To increase the suction head of the pump:
1. Increase the aspect ratio of the liquid and install the tank at a higher height. As a rule of thumb, the tank foundation should be about 1m higher than the pump.
2. Increase the working pressure of the storage tank according to the booster.
Note the following on the cryogenic liquid pump piping:
1. The water inlet pipe should be kept as short-circuit as possible, and the "U"-shaped bending should be prevented in the pipe.
2. The water inlet and outlet pipes should have suitable diameters, the water flow of the material should be kept within the range required by the standard, and the frictional resistance of fluidity should be minimized as much as possible.
3. In addition to the required total, the number of connectors, elbows, and gate valves should be avoided as much as possible in the pipeline.
4. The water inlet pipe should be insulated as much as possible.
5. In the place where the gate valve, pipeline, and pipeline are fixed, that is, in the area where the liquid will boil, fix the outrigger.
